Our Story
50 Years of Faithful Ministry
New Hope Baptist Church was founded in 1976 with a small group of faithful believers who desired a church that stood firmly on the Word of God. From humble beginnings in the Valley Township Hall, God has blessed and grown our church into a thriving congregation.
Throughout the decades, we have remained committed to expository preaching, soul-winning, and missions. Our church has sent out missionaries across the globe and continues to impact our local community for Christ.
Today, New Hope Baptist Church remains a traditional, independent, fundamental Baptist church dedicated to the old paths of truth and the timeless message of the Gospel.

Our Pastor
Pastor Tadd Butler and his wife Lee
Senior Pastor
Pastor Tadd Butler was raised on a large dairy farm in northern Michigan where he developed a strong work ethic and deep-rooted values that continue to shape his ministry today. Though he sensed a call to ministry as a teenager, he did not come to a saving faith in Christ until his college years - a transformative experience that solidified his commitment to serving the Lord. While attending bible college, Pastor Butler met his wife Lee, and the two were married in June of 1989. Together, they have been blessed with two sons. Their older son is married and they have two daughters with another daughter on the way. Pastor Butler began his full-time pastoral ministry serving as an assistant pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Urbana, Illinois for four and a half years. In June of 2002, he was called to serve as the pastor of New Hope Baptist Church where he has faithfully led the congregation for over two decades. His heart for people, dedication to biblical teaching, and commitment to shepherding the church have been evident throughout his years of service.
